Strategic Financial Alliance Refreshes Its Advisory Council

The Strategic Financial Alliance, the independent broker-dealer and RIA, has added three to its six-person strategic advisory council. Cheri Knight, a principal at Knight Asset Management in Ladera Ranch, CA, has also been elected to serve as chair of the council in 2016. Financial advisors Brian Bennett of BennCo Advisors in Colorado Springs, CO; Andrew Crane of the Keen Insight Group in Norcross, GA; and Floyd Green of Cornerstone Wealth Management Team in Raleigh, NC, will start on January 1, 2016. They will join existing members Knight; Assaf Pinchas of Allegiance Financial Group in Vienna, VA; and Gene Dickison of MTM Financial Group in Bethlehem, PA. Advisors on the council, picked from the SFA network, typically serve three-year staggered terms, with one new member elected each year by the broader SFA advisor community and a second new member chosen annually by the existing members. A new chair is also appointed annually; chairs serve as vice chair during the year preceding their appointment. Pinchas will serve as vice chair for 2016. Initiatives spearheaded in recent years by the council – or which the council has helped advance – have included a new mentoring program for SFA advisors; implementation of e-signature solutions; and SFA's recently-announced administrative education program for affiliated advisors' administrative staff members .
